Biography

Susan Uccelli
Born and raised in South San Francisco, owner Susan Uccelli opened her court reporting business, Uccelli & Associates, in her South San Francisco home town in 1979. And though the demands of running a business are many, Susan has always found the time to be involved in worthy causes such as The San Mateo Legal Aid Society, Broadway by the Bay, the Peninsula Symphony, the Alzheimer’s Association, Redwood City PAL, the San Mateo County Italian Heritage Columbus Day Committee, Second Harvest Food Bank, and bicycling in the Tour de Peninsula, Bike 4 Breath, and Giro di Peninsula to raise funds and awareness.

Owner Susan Uccelli was the 2010 recipient of the Natalie Lanam Achievement Award, awarded by the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County.

This award is named for Natalie Lanam, a leader whose volunteer efforts on behalf of Legal Aid were inspired by her commitment to justice for all. Each year, it is given in recognition of another leader whose volunteer efforts are inspired by a commitment to justice for all the children, families and seniors in San Mateo County.

Susan finds great meaning in helping Legal Aid raise money that supports its programs. “Legal Aid helps make everyday life better. It seems like such a little thing, but when a lawyer gets the landlord to clean up an infestation of rodents, there’s a potential for change that affects everything. If the kids aren’t living in a slum, they will sleep better at night, it will be easier to study, they will have more self-worth, make better choices and ultimately become the kind of adults we want to have in our community. I am happy to help open doors in my own small way.”

Businesswoman Susan Uccelli has always believed in providing high standards of professional services to her clients and continues to give back to her community through various charities and organizations.
